Because the GOP funds Planned Parenthood in a similar fashion that they fund anti-American, anti-GOP NPR and PBS.
You'd have to ask the GOP what the reasons are behind that strategy or lack thereof.
The GOP and Democrats are 2 heads of the same anti-American coin.
GOP establishment like the Bushes, McCain and Romney funded Planned Parenthood because they got nice write ups in the NYT and WaPo for one day.
They loved getting that one day of a nice sentence or two from Democrat Mainstream media that it didn't matter to them at all that they were selling their voters - and the country - out. They were flippin' giddy at all the goodies they were getting from China too.
GOP trades this funding for $ for GOP donors and military industrial complex. Just typical swamp corruption.
The Military Industrial Complex is not exclusive to the GOP. That’s just a fake news talking point. The Democrats have proven time and time again that they love war.
To my memory, Trump has ordered them to be defunded more than once, but courts rules that they MUST be funded (for some reason).
