I deal with many Hispanics and 2nd generation are vastly more Americanized and more conservative. 3rd gen even more.
A big border town in Mexico is called Matamoros which literally means “Kill the Moors”, which is based. It was of course referring to revenge for all the atrocities the Muslims were doing at the time with the Barbary Pirates and European Slave Trade.
Main problem is there isn’t much conservative Spanish media here in the USA. If there was, many more would wake up but many are regardless.
