I don't even know why he was appointed. I think he only had 1 opposing vote against him. Swamp confirmed early on.

everyone and I mean everyone thought he was full MAGA at first. Reality is there are few at that level of government who aren't self serving swamp

I was totally thrilled when he was brought on-board by Trump. Seemed to be a smart mouth badass. Loved some of his quotes. Goes to show you never know. Maybe he was a Manchurian Candidate too

This is the most disappointing part of everything we have seen since Trump became president. A good many of these people are fucking scumbags and live in a Washington DC bubble.

I don't know of anyone believing he was MAGA. He was promoted heavily by Cheney and anti-Trumpers. He aligned on Trumps vision but I don't think he had 100% trust. He was most likely sent out to identify the rats within the Military.

the amount of mad dogg memes floating around on the old site at certain points in time show a completely different picture of his support than what you are inferring. Maybe saying he was full MAGA is a bit of a stretch but he had everyone's full support at one time. Completely fooled us as others have.

People on the old TD also supported Judge Sullivan that helped screw over Flynn. I think most of us normies had no idea who in D.C. to trust and support. If a meme hit front page we all assumed he or she was good.

Hindsight is always 20/20. Pretty much every appointee that Trump made (except for John Bolton lol) had a honeymoon phase where we all lauded them. Mattie actually had one of the longer ones.

MAGA-Man 6 points ago +6 / -0

Even Flynn’s lawyer Sidney Powell respected Sullivan before this fiasco. Memes are still more accurate than CNN any day.

Dude, we all loved him early on. He was probably our favorite appointee for a while. There were memes daily. I’ll admit that I believed he was fantastic for a while. He had plenty of badass moments and did some good in rebuilding the military. It was obviously time for him to go though.

If and when he sees Trump’s re-election I think he will feel like his whole career has culminated, nothing to lose for that purpose.

Rush sent out signed pictures to everyone that's bought stuff from his website. I'm pretty sure he was saying goodbye. Still holding out hope that he recovers, though.

6
pmurTJdlanoD 6 points ago +6 / -0

He said that he participates in the merch team's activities so he knows the ins and outs of every operation (like Trump) and so when he packages an item he includes a signed photo. I never heard that he sent one to everyone. But even if his prognosis is bleak, let's hope he makes it at least to January 20 to see the beginning of Trump's second term.

I ordered a shirt from him last year and I got a signed picture of him with his MOF a few weeks ago. I'm assuming he didn't pick me out at random but instead sent to everyone. As soon as I opened it I thought, "Oh shit, he's saying goodbye". I'm not ready to lose Rush.

5
pmurTJdlanoD 5 points ago +5 / -0

Oh! Then fear not, he did address this on the show when Betsy Ross campaign was in full swing, exactly what I said earlier - there were so many orders and he jumped on the assembly line, and so when he was the one packaging a shirt for sending out he threw in a signed photo. You got lucky and your item was personally packaged by Rush which is fucking amazing!!!!

Shit, I turned Rush off to get ready for the POTUS presser. I hope we can get an audio clip or transcript of that.

The Military Industrial Complex and bloated bureaucracy have taken on lives of their own. You will find many former generals who want to keep their own gravy trains rolling. Where are Petraeus, Colin Powell, John Kelly and Jim Mattis now, to name just a few. They make the big bucks as advisors to Boards of Directors. Follow the money, and you will find their motivation.

Rush's argument was that these people spend their lives living on government salaries, when almost everyone else around them is wealthy. They want a slice of the pie, and are willing to sell out the US to China to get it.

No hate on Rush, he is a legend.

When I listen to the first hour he regurgitate stories from NYT, ABC, and the Washington Post. I don't care to hear those Fake News Stories.

3
Wizard_killer 3 points ago +3 / -0

That is red pilling for new listeners and it also gives us the ammo we need when those stories influence the people we know. Ignoring your enemy when he is actively subverting you is an error. The mainstream media is the enemy.

Rush isn't wrong. These retired generals get about $10,000 a month in retirement but they want to be millionaires so they're using their experience and their (former) influence to shill for globalist. This is exactly why we need laws that prohibit Federal employees from becoming lobbyists or sitting on the boards of corporations for at least seven years after their Federal employment ends. Federal Employees are not Federal employees because they want to be public servants. They are Federal Employees because they want to use their Federal Employment to make money in the private sector and have access to insider trading.

All these retired government hacks, move into the private sector and serve as board of directors then jump back into government. All these Corporations suck off the government teet.

The latest is Nicki Haley and Mattis.

What did President Eisenhower warn Americans in his farewell address? The military industrial complex which unfortunately Trump trusted too much. Making peace deals and taking out ISIS quickly is simply bad for business. America also isnt supposed to have a standing army too.

Bottom line is, there are damn few, if any at senior levels in the military that look beyond their next paycheck. Most of the patriotic ones are forced out B4 30. The crap floating to the top is all JFK School of International Politics or Worse. Last time you saw a History major was probably Gen Dugan, and he was canned by G. Bush for calling it like he saw it.

Honestly the most disappointing thing for me about the Trump Administration is how good GEOTUS is at exposing people I looked up to like Mattis, and other military generals and showing their true nature as complete self serving scumbag puppets who are willing to turn their backs on the values they taught and instilled for that sweet sweet money.

1
MichelleObamasDong 1 point ago +1 / -0

I seem to remember a lot of excitement around the Mattis appointment. He came to speak to my class in grad school and one of the military guys was moved to tears. I remember him being very pro-Saudi Arabia.
