This was near me. My son asked me why didn't we go. I never heard about it. Too bad some younger people weren't there, but whomever organized it probably didn't expect any trouble locally. I frankly did not expect that answer from the cop, either, bending over backwards to protect the the perp who punched the woman! Pussy.
Anyone organizing something like this need to have a security plan in place. We have rallies here in my small town often and I normally work security for them. Democrat terrorists will attack any weak targets and you can expect harassment at a minimum every time. They will take photos and videos of you and you should be prepared to do the same in return.

Park away from the event. If you are doing a Trump rally by vehicle, try renting for a day. I do solo events outside and I've had people try to casually infer which car is mine.

No. They are free to take all the photos and video they want, but you are also free to do the same, and you should. I wear a body cam and I record anyone I don't recognize that shows up at the rally. If a car pulls up and they flip us off or get mouthy, I record them too, and watch where they go to ensure they don't circle back around and attempt an attack.
I have lots of good video of triggered Democrats. So far we have avoided any physical confrontations, but we have had a couple of them come close to initiating one.
This is why I signed up for a "Women for Trump" event in my town.

Shit in WA primaries we have to state which party we voted for on the OUTSIDE of the envelope or our votes don't count. I always suspected this was simply so that postal workers and people illegally accessing my mailbox can throw my ballot in the garbage. This is a brand new requirement this year.
