Huh, did you know we had different standards to prevent the reporting of false positives from PCR testing on previous virus outbreaks? China requires that you're sick or you've at least been exposed and a positive PCR test. Previously, the CDC had the same standard. That just isn't part of the acceptable narrative for this outbreak. Not an expert by any means, but I have a minor in microbiology and used to work with PhD microbiologists. Based on my understanding, viral loads have to be sufficient in order to cause an infection, which would mean exhibit symptoms.
