Usually I would disagree and say "voter usually forgets and doesn't care" but this close is testing that theory.
Most voters forget things within 6-8 months. If you have done something so bad but you avoid removal from office most people won't care if you can make it past 6 months.
My country, Canada, seems like Trudeau is going to put us into an election to capitalize on his high popularity, opposition having a brand new novice candidate, one other party being near bankrupt and the last remaining parties being infected with covid to have their members attend parliament.
His scandals have been over a year ago now so most voters have forgotten. Sad, but that's the case when you have most people voting, most people are fucking dumb.
