Comparing an American public servant to Adolf Hitler / Joseph Stalin?? Someone's been exposed to too much liberal propaganda RE: Trump to think this is in any way a fair equivalence.
She's a US citizen, and Justice Scalia had great respect and friendship for this woman. Top of her law class, succeeding when only 9 women were in her year, and while her values/opinions differed from mine, and least she worked her ass off all her life to dedicate herself to defending and fighting for them. The country would be better off as a whole if more people lived their lives that way.
I agree that judicial activism is bad, RBG did much more harm than good for the country based on her voting record, and at the end of the day this does present an opportunity for another conservative justice (at risk of not being confirmed, and/or liberal justices being added to pack the court in retribution), etc....
However, it's too far to me to celebrate, feel immediate joy, and instantly obsess over political ramifications hours after her death - I am too grounded in not only my faith but also my integrity as derived from conservative intellectual giants I have read and deeply enjoyed/respected their outlooks (such as Thomas Sowell, Charles Krauthammer, Barry Goldwater, etc.)
I love this place, and the posters here (usually), but it's very discouraging to see these kinds of reactions abound, as if we can't wait one or two days over a weekend before we collectively dance on her grave. Makes me feel sick...
My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends, may she Rest in Peace.

You’re reasonable. I like you. Take my vote.
You're a pathetic neckbeard cuck.
