I'm just throwing this out there to get feedback. We know the typical RINOs are going to cuck out and not confirm a new Justice before the election. Trump could make a deal with them by selling them on the idea that we need a temporary replacement to break any tie votes in regards to election litigation. He could appoint someone uncontroversial as long as they swear publicly to resign after the election is settled.
Who would be so un-controversial that anyone would go along with this?
Sandra Day O'connor.
She's 90, so I don't know if she's up for it.
But it would show Trump to be a level headed leader, and might calm the extra waves that RBG's death creates.
Possible? Pros, cons?
.
Except Trump doesn't have the power over these individual Senators. But re-nominating the first female justice would short-circuit their feeble brains.

Hey, if we can get it done in time, that's definitely my preference. But if the votes aren't there, my idea might be a feasible plan B.
