I'm just throwing this out there to get feedback. We know the typical RINOs are going to cuck out and not confirm a new Justice before the election. Trump could make a deal with them by selling them on the idea that we need a temporary replacement to break any tie votes in regards to election litigation. He could appoint someone uncontroversial as long as they swear publicly to resign after the election is settled.

Who would be so un-controversial that anyone would go along with this?

Sandra Day O'connor.

She's 90, so I don't know if she's up for it.

But it would show Trump to be a level headed leader, and might calm the extra waves that RBG's death creates.

Possible? Pros, cons?

A new justice could be confirmed in the 2 month lame duck period. Rs will still have majority. If Trump wins and Rs hold the senate then it can wait. Lose the senate and or presidency Rs need to ram thru a replacement before Jan. Let the Murder Turtle play this out.

That is my hope. I just don't want any election decisions being hung up on a tie vote in the Supreme Court. Of course that could happen to our benefit, but that is rarely the case.
