Pence breaks the tie. And they will vote for it, just watch. The pressure will be immense.

Maybe, just once, they could think about what we want.

Collins can’t say no or her voters disappear. She’s in a tight race and can’t lose the base

Mittens (Senator Ukraine) should not be allowed to vote in internal US matters.

recess appointment possible for a temp

No.

Make them vote. At least one will capitulate if made to go on record. Collins has a history of this kind of waffling.

And even if they don't, Pence can break the tie if they vote no.

Romney sucks and he's why I quit being a Republican, but he does want conservative judges. His constituency in Utah wouldn't even blink voting him out if he doesn't support a conservative appointment. And, Romney thinks a lot of himself, so he'll want to stay in office. Romney sucks through and through except perhaps on the issue of SC judges.
. . No idea about Murkowski and Collins. I know nothing about Maine politics (logging, lobsters, and redcoat incursions?), but I would think voting for a conservative SC judge would shore up her base. Then again, I have no idea why she's currently losing ... if you believe polls, which I don't.

Cernovich needs to come out and admit his mistakes. He can’t let shit like that fly and not correct himself.

So 50-47-3? So we could have more wiggle room? 49-48-3... etc.

They may be convinced to vote yes this time (well, not Mittens) when reminded that A) it will end their careers B) a 4/4 SCOTUS May put Harris/Biden in office.
