They will fund raise off this, but if they seat a justice before the election it will demotivate a lot of Dems as it will be a big defeat for them practically and emotionally. If they wait till after the election then yes it will motivate them more.
I gotta be honest that this logic is only half sound. If liberals did not think the threat of another SC pick would happen after November, they are braindead. RGB has been the walking dead for years now. Hell, many of us thought she was dead a long time ago (even if she wasn't really dead, she was worthless). I get your sentiment, but the left had to worry about SC picks anyway.

2016 proved that money does not guarantee a W. Hillary was reported to spend over 1.1 billion and PDJT about 15% of that. I think your concern is warranted for sure but Biden/Harris is still a shitty ticket.
