i wish some people would slow down - this is NOT a popularity contest. This is the third arm of our government. It's not a "oh look at him he's cute, or look at her she's got a good smile" ... It' the Brains and thinking process that is important and the stupidity of some people to think they know how it all works together is staggering

Just cause someone is elected to an office does Not mean they are smart or knowlegeable.... we sure have some shining examples of that!

How much time have you (not you personally) spent honestly exploring these people's true characters, thinking process: not what the newspapers/media say cause it's a splash headline. I believe there are hundreds of extremely considerate, honest, smart people in the background (not talking the 'deep state') who have knowledge to guide the process. nope they aren't gonna all agree but they hopefully will do what i best for our Country!

Cruz is acceptable on many fronts of a SCOTUS nomination. He stands up to adversity (he ran a good race against POTUS), he works with his opponents and grows rather than become bitter (he came over to POTUS’s side after the election, even after Trump went hard on him), he understands the importance of being a “rock ribbed conservative” in a world where judges are wined and dined for favorable outcomes. I have come to like Cruz in many ways, I still don’t think he is strong enough to be President (Especially not when government agencies are working against a sitting president), but a Supreme Court Justice doesn’t need the strength of a pure leader, there is room for debate and discussion.

I know he worked for the appellate court before being a senator, but I don’t know to what extent.

He has a good podcast called Verdict with Ted Cruz, which gets into his personal mindset a bit.

What are your thoughts on Cruz?

I agree wholeheartedly. My only lament would be that he would never be President after taking that position. https://twitter.com/tedcruz/status/1305493905031467008?s=20

This isn’t a beauty contest. Ted Cruz has a strong background in defending the constitution. He has argued a number of times in front of the Supreme Court. I believe he would rule similarly to Antonin Scalia. In my opinion he’s the best candidate for the job. I don’t want them rushing a “John Roberts” type into the seat... that would be worst case scenario.
