Just went through this with my 85 year old mother, who commented how genius it was the way the constitution was designed. She is right, it’s what has allowed this country to be the greatest nation in history. It’s what has allowed us to lead the world toward freedom and thrive as individual citizens, each having a real opportunity to accomplish what we are willing to work hard to accomplish, without the opposing forces of tyranny. As the left tries to pull us further and further from the constitutional principles, solely to gain more specific power, the spectre of tyranny begins to show itself every time. They think they can control the monster of tyranny and ride it’s back, but we only get closer to a complete collapse of our society, where the monster eventually takes over everyone, and freedom to live and succeed are obliterated, accept for the few in power.
The fact that we are all talking about RBGs death in such powerful political tones demonstrates again just how far we are drifting from the purpose of the constitution. This seat needs to be filled quickly and by a justice that will uphold the constitution, period. The late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in 2016 said “nothing in the Constitution” prevents a president from nominating to fill a court seat.
You have a good point. It was certainly the desire and will of the framers and those who pioneered this country that made this nation great. A document is only that without soul of the individual behind it. No argument there. Without the constitution, however, the spirit of those early Americans would have been short lived after their generation died off. Maybe you are more optimistic about the general nature mankind than I am. Without general rules, laws and a code of principles to allow for the flourishing of individuals, I believe societies fall apart. Organized religion somewhat also held things together as well for a long time, but that has unfortunately really fallen apart. I would submit that the movement away from Constitutionalism, Faith and Family have allowed our nation to fall apart. Where I think you are really into something though is the fact that the left are attempting to move our country further away from Individualism toward Collectivism and that is counter to our spirit as a nation and what has made our country powerful.

Exactly roe v wade aka abortion should be decided in the legislature not the courts.
The people and culture made this nation great. Without the culture, there would be no Constitution.
And now that our people and culture are fractured, we are falling apart even though we have the Constitution.
People and their culture come first.

This is untrue. The people made the society. The Constitution didn't make them.
America existed before the Constitution. That one document isn't all the law that existed before or after. Most of life didn't change all that much.
My point is all this flows out from the people and their culture. A good culture governs itself, document or not.
