This is untrue. The people made the society. The Constitution didn't make them.

Without general rules, laws and a code of principles to allow for the flourishing of individuals, I believe societies fall apart.

America existed before the Constitution. That one document isn't all the law that existed before or after. Most of life didn't change all that much.

My point is all this flows out from the people and their culture. A good culture governs itself, document or not.
