There is nothing deplorable about being working class but there is something deplorable about working a job you hate because you don't think you have any other options when we live in America. The point I was trying to make is that a job, no matter what it is, should be something that is fulfilling and you can take pride in it. If it's not, then have the courage to explore other options and obtain a better life, not necessarily through financial gains, but for peace of mind.
Not everyone lives in that state, but they are free to change it, if they so wish. Sometimes, circumstances beyond one's control intrude upon such a luxury.
So, I still give kudos for those who tough it out, like my own father.
