Sadly, center-left people, libertarians and even progressives don't seem to realise that Trump has been the candidate who has worked towards these goals way more than any other candidate in the history of USA.
The "party system" only provides the illusion of democracy. It is a scam from the start. Why have any parties at all? Why not just judge a candidate on their beliefs and voting history? All should be independent thinkers, not "teams" with assured votes.
I say introduce ran choice voting and go to town with as many parties as want to take part in elections, including parties that exist only at local level.
There's already something similar.
