Yes, but they shouldn’t be replaced until January. A new, improved version is coming - Black, Light, Magenta.

Component video. not obsolete, but if you got hdmi, you dont need em. they dont carry sound. still need l/r audio channels hooked up too if you use them.

NB: In some output setups, you need a Composite connection because of copyright control (HDCP) scrambling some HDMI video (e. g. Slingbox, which i still use)
