What happened to your right to a speedy trial??? How fucking long are they going to keep this kid in jail??? There is motherfucking video evidence that totally exonerates him with 80 angles.
Speedy trial rights run from arraignment. Can be waived multiple times. Also, it’s usually 60 days if in custody and 90 if out.

For the record, he hasn't been arraigned yet, and he's sitting in Juvenile Detention. While he still isn't free, there are far, far worse places he could be. He also has fantastic representation who are taking advantage of this time.
His next court date is an extradition hearing in Illinois. Based on the facts as his defense is presenting them, Illinois can only charge him being a fugitive from justice, if they care to. It's very possible, especially with such good representation, that Illinois is perfectly happy simply extraditing him to the far more serious charges in Wisconsin. So far, this process has worked to buy his legal team time to prepare. I think it's reasonable to expect extradition to be approved on Friday.
Only after that all happens can he be properly arraigned in Wisconsin. I can't imagine that his legal team isn't working with the prosecutors in Wisconsin to agree on the details, especially with regards to custody while awaiting trial. I don't know if there's a way for Kyle to be released in Illinois on a Wisconsin bail. My guess is that he would be transferred from Illinois to Wisconsin custody, and then show up in a Wisconsin court the next day where his lawyers could post some sort of surety bond. The system is a bit different in Wisconsin, but good legal team.
Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I assume they'll arraign him in Wisconsin next week, then? I'm sure his legal team are considering all of their options to get the best result for Kyle. We'll find out more on Friday. His hearing is 9 AM and we should be able to watch it live if we know the courtroom number.
Aside from following them on Twitter, no. In fact, they haven't said much since his initial arrest and appearance in court. (Which is really a good thing.)
Mostly, I'm just concerned for the guy. He was just trying to protect his community and he ran straight into some of the worst people in the country. He did nothing wrong, but that hardly matters when you're sitting in jail alone.
I assume the answer is yes. Bail works a bit differently in Wisconsin, as it's a surety bond instead of bail. He has high-powered lawyers, though, so I would suspect the answer is yes. I am unsure, however, what his current bail situation is being held in Illinois, awaiting extradition to Wisconsin. They may also be deciding to use their resources to win the case rather than get him out of jail. He also may be much safer in juvenile detention. The conditions in his county are much better than they are in Chicago. Juvenile detention centers are much more like dorms than jails.
