I’ve always thought skin color acts as a useful descriptor when necessary. “Bill is the white guy in that group.” Same thing as “Bill is the guy with the beard over there.” We shouldn’t be afraid of these words, it’s how we communicate. I have news for you, if you think calling someone black is racist, YOU are the one that is racist.
