That RIS II is the best extended forend on the market. There's good reasons it got selected for the SOPMOD Block II. Far more durable than any of the skinny tube handguards, and the barrel-mounted steel FSB is nearly indestructible compared to aluminum or plastic folding sights.

Some are mentioning a lefty lower. The real need is a left ejecting upper with maybe a change to an ambi safety switch on the lower. However, that little deflector at the rear of the ejection port was added to accommodate left-hand shooters to make the spent round fly further forward and right to help the wrong handed shooter.
Another thing. Is she left eye dominant? If not, get her to switch to right-handed shooting. Most instructors should be able to walk you through determining the dominant eye.

It's super easy, just get a drop in trigger group (that's half the battle) and find someone who has already built one to give you tips.
