They keep thinking the military would just en masse support them.
I don't think the media would be standing, at least not in the way it exists today. They need power, food, supplies, broadcast locations etc. If it gets to the point where they have to hide in a bunker what they say isn't going to matter.
Exactly and all the tech companies etc ain’t gonna be on our side. If something like this did go down they’d likely do something like shutting down internet cell phones etc for any conservatives. Use the cell phones to figure out where we are etc. Loosing the ability to communicate would be a massive disadvantage.
All we’d have to do is cut the power and water in metro areas and watch them eat themselves alive.
But if it got to that point, level the cell towers, level the playing field.
Don't assume everyone in tech is a Leftist. I think there will be plenty of scenarios of:
"Oops, the filter didn't seem to catch all of the Nazis, xir. Must be a bug in the code. I'll try harder next time"
The military is getting "diversified" hard. There are more and more people with un-American ideals in the armed forces everyday. Sadly
Most likely it'll split, like in pretty much every civil war ever.
I would at least draw a point of argument being that military indifference towards pro 2A Americans would lead to the same result if the left made a confiscation effort. They would NEED the military to accomplish their ends. Pro 2A types would only need the military to stay out of the matter.
The brass will not. The troops will, the ones who aren’t using the military for the wrong reasons. The us military has been demoralized and they’re on limited time. There were literally gangs in some units when I was in; couldn’t put their stupid affiliations away to do something better. Bit of a joke in some units.
They don't think of the military as people. To them, it's a uniform blob of camo that follows orders and nothing else.
