Why would a socialist faction ally with non-socialists in a pact against communism? And wage total war against communists (communists that had already by that point in time committed intentional, organized and planned genocides against millions)?

Why wouldn't they? They were all threatened by the Soviets. I still don't see the point you're trying to make.

But why then make the pact explicitly anti-communist? Why not make it "anti-Soviet-Union" instead? Why would the Nazis not then ally with or keep peace with the genocidal communists of the Soviet Union?

Because the Comintern was a Soviet project and it encompassed everything threatening about the Soviet Union. From the federation itself to organizations that were responsible for subverting other countries such as international organizations and political parties (labour and other left wing parties). The Comintern was responsible for insurrectionist groups.

Why didn't the Nazis just allied with their enemies? Both sides distrusted each other and saw war as inevitable.

Seems to me you're arguing about semantics. You're still not making your point clear and wasting time.

But if they were both socialists, why then were they enemies? Why wage total war when there were non-socialists? Why be explicitly anti-communist, both publicly and privately?

I don't agree at all. It seems extremely weird in many ways to describe the Nazis as the same as the communists when the Nazis were explicitly anti-communist, allied with anti-communists and waged total war against the genocidal communists. They also sought to create a defensive pact with Poland against the Soviet Union (though they also made demands reg. such a pact that was not tenable for Poland as far as I know).
