We all knew that their plan was to stack the court as soon as they could. Just like Harry Reid's filibuster change, it's inevitable.

I don't think it has to do with intelligence. Wishes are just that, wishes, and they rarely come true here in the real world. It's not that they are dumb, they are delusional and live in a fantasy world.
