If I was a home invader you bet I would loudly yell "Police" when invading a home in order to dissuade any armed home defender from shooting, or at least make them hesitate.
That's my thoughts too. This guy heard a knock, said he didnt hear them ID themselves. Who knows what really happened but, they then kick the door in after knocking once. Fuck that man, if he didn't hear them ID then, I don't blame him
