Thanks man. I am a manager right now and I really don't like the computer + desk + paperwork. I understand even enlisted guys get some desk time, especially in the Air Force. But I like the idea of doing the job rather than managing the guys who do. My best friend is 18D and I asked him why not Officer. You get about 1-2 years doing work and then you become a manager.
Prolly not really stated anywhere but Ranger officers work for a living. I'm not sure about the SIGINT side but line officers are jumping with their troop!
I'll ask next time he is in STL.
