What happens when the justice system allows itself to be persuaded by public opinion. The Public is fickle, easily manipulated, and looses interest fairly quickly.

The Justice system however should be resolute and stalwart regardless of the feelings of the public.

It’s easy to condemn an innocent man to satiate an angry mob. It’s far harder to spare one in spite of the mob and it’s threats.
