I got news for you its already pretty much shut down. Government employees consider working from home as being on call. The only production right now are contractors and military.

The only way the government shuts down is when it runs out of money. I don't think there are any funding votes coming up. Nancy doesn't have a magic wand that shuts the government down. This is more liberal fantasy for Michael Moore who doesn't know shit about how the government is actually ran.

Even so, I don't think that has ever affected the house or senate. If the Senate is in session, they can approve a Supreme Court justice.

Shutting down the gov't doesn't mean much. Social Security, military pay, and essential services are protected. It really just means a bunch of fed workers will be furloughed. A lot of what would be shut down that affects people already is because of wuflu.

That strikes me as pretty easily dealt with:

GEOTUS issues EO suspending election because a government can't oversee an election while it's shut down.
