I picked it up a few weeks ago. I had never fired a flintlock before. First time I fired it I had a HUGE smile on my face. It's a 'blast' to fire! I bought the Flintlock because in PA if you don't get a buck during rifle season you can use it for anything with a flintlock the two weeks after Christmas. So I never get a buck and with rona and all that I want more meat in the freezer so I'll go out during flintlock and try to drop a deer.
I've owned the inline for several years and harvested some deer with it.
Hit the 11x17 paper with the flintlock 2 out of 3 times at 100 yards. Very accurate at 50 yards.
Inline hit the edge of the bullseye at 100 yards. Only fired one shot out of the inline. Next shot will hopefully be in October during muzzle loader deer season.
That is awesome! My late father had a 50 cal flintlock...it's mine now, but it is left-handed. I will probably never shoot it but I cherish the memories that come with it
My father won a couple trophies from a Wyoming black powder club for largest mule deer and largest antelope taken with a flintlock one year...fucking iron sights and sneaking up on an antelope (North America's fastest land mammal) on the Wyoming prairie is amazing
Sorry to keep commenting, but my late father also grew up in PA...Lancaster County. My brother has a cabin in the mountains in Sullivan County...beautiful area.
Nice! Bet that flintlock is fun to shoot!

Don't knock a 50 cal lead ball or slug... it will do some damage!
Bought a 50 cal thompson center percussion cap muzzleloader few months ago. It's fun.
Next time you go out to watch it see if you can find "The Patriot" on your favorite streaming service and watch it the night before.
Mel Gibson is the GOAT
