Yeah, Harry Reid abolished the 60 vote threshold. Now it only requires a simple majority to confirm a SCOTUS justice. Kavanaugh was confirmed by 50 votes if I remember that right. Two GOP senators abstained and one Dem joined the GOP to confirm him.
