New York State is still really shitty for guns. I grew up there and the real difference between upstate NY and the city is no guns vs fudd guns. I had some cool stuff back in the early 90s but those days are long gone. You can't get anything cool anymore due to all the restrictions they've piled on.
Honest opinion- move to a real state and get some real guns and some silencers.
yeah, no. Please stay where you are. Flyover/Southern states are shitholes full of evil and racist people and NYers and Californians should definitely stay in their superior (lol) states and not have to deal with us lowly Southern creatures.
Probably best best for home defense would be something like a 30-30 levergun or maybe one of those kel tec survival carbines in 223. Kel tec stuff is decent and seems to have been left off almost all the assault weapons lists that were compiled in the late 80s/early 90s.

One day I will leave this state, but right now due to my employment, I have to live in NY
