My county issues a CCW stamped "sport target" but it is essentially unrestricted as those are not terms in the state laws. You either have a CCW permit or you don't. Furthmore I was told by a local gun shop the judge will remove the BS restriction after 2 years of I submit my request.
only problem with the admin restrictions is that if you get caught and you are not plausibly on your way too or from a sanctioned activity you will lose your license. But yeah there are no legal ramifications.
