When I say this, I mainly think about the countless memoirs written by former communist political prisoners. I was born in Romania and moved to the US in my early twenties. I read probably more than 15 such memoirs, I even had the opportunity to meet a few survivors. Saying these books are chilling is understating them. It is such a disservice to humanity that these books don't get an international readership. And I bet other Eastern European countries have their own such books.
The Gulag Archipelago author, Alexandr Solzhenitsyn, described the "Pitesti Phenomenon" (one of the experiments done by communists on young people in the Romanian prisons) as the
"most terrible act of barbarism in the contemporary world".

It's been translated into English, and I have no idea of how moving they are in Russian, but the translation seems to be very good, because the stories in English still sink into your mind and open your eyes to the insanity of communism.

I got a few to at least question it with 'breaking news' and it was some random tweet from 4 days earlier. I would then deconstructed the top article for that day. They all follow predictable patterns. I would show what was left out and ask 'gee why did they leave that part out?' or 'oh look the smear one side downplay the importance of the other for the same act'. I also started calling 'timeout on that lets see what happens in 2 days'. Usually by that time the story was wildly different and we could talk about the changes. The downside is this method takes time and someone at least willing to listen. That never works on the internet. You can not show them facts. You show them they are being lied to. Constantly.
Everything that ends up in the news is fake. Almost all of it. Someone had to decide what was said. Put together a crew to write it, read it. film it, present it, artwork the transitions, edit, etc etc etc. It is a production company. They have it down so they can do it semi quickly. If they have a gap of 10 mins in the middle of a show grab one of the mad-lib news wire puff pieces and use that. Usually it is 80% there and can be quickly massaged into the local format. Fake.

It's never too late, because people vote for the party to select the electors and not the person of the candidate.

If they know they're going to switch, they gain more advantage every day they wait to do it, no matter how bad it looks. If they switch in a miracle candidate (M.Obama, Oprah, Hillary, Bernie) they'll want to wait and bank on star power with little response from GOP. If they want Biden to be considered resigned day 1, they'll want GEOTUS chewing on Biden's carcass instead of Kamala who has to face off against a less threatening Pence on stage. I consider that the more likely situation.

There was no way that he was the most electable candidate. I firmly believe Sanders was the only real opposition to Trump, and that was due to his passion and consistency. Bootygay (or whatever is name was) was a close second, but he was so fake that he would've easily been obliterated by Trump. Most for Joe, (Real Americans do their best to follow the constitution and vote on Nov 3, military and old/sick/infirm should all get absentee ballots) and every single day, more of those ballots get cast/sent in with Joe's name. Mass mail in ballots are already printed with Joe's name, regular ballots also already printed.
So as we tick, tick, tick closer to election day, more and more dem votes get wasted. And there are fewer and fewer opportunities to reprint and send new ballots out to those who haven't voted yet, leaving "write in" as the only option. Good fucking luck getting THAT done on a large scale.
