I've read a lot of holy books... I was once reading a translation of the Bhagavad Gita, that had commentary from a famous Guru. In the middle of the Gita he busted out into this long commentary on how women HAVE to have a male care taker who loves them in their life no matter their age, As children a father, as young women a husband and as old women their sons... because their soft and agreeable nature makes them susceptible to danger... without the physical and emotional protection of men who love them the vulnerability will lead them to anxiety, insecurity and eventually degeneracy as they become resentful that the masculine (which is the metaphysical representation of God) is not protecting them (they are not aware of this consciously obviously) So they act out rebellion against God whom they feel has abandoned them in the wild. This is the spiritual reason why a lot of these abandoned women act in ways that "ruins" or alters the beauty God gave them (and the special gifts God gave them like child bearing), they are pissed at sky Dad.
