When all else fails I’m sure this witch will shut down the government next week.

Refusing to fund government does not shut down Congress. Thus the Senate can carry out its business. Nancy still refuses to accept that She has zero authority or power to control the Senate. 🤣

Doesn't matter what she does.

The Supreme Court appointment is with the Senate, not the House.

Then Trump could make a recess appointment. I think.

No, Trump can only make a recess appointment if the Senate adjourns.

They aren't going to do that, because it requires a majority vote.

All of what you posted is true. But, I was simply responding to the OC's assertion that "Pelosi shutting down the government" (even if she could) would let Trump make a recess appointment.

She said yesterday she wouldn't do this.

How is she going to shut down the Senate? Am I missing something?

No you aren’t missing anything. A government shutdown in no way stops the Senate from operating. Nancy is a clown putting on political theater that does nothing. She can’t accept the fact that she has no power over the Senate.

This is actually a good theory

The arrows in Nancy's quiver are made of unicorn farts. She has nothing, can do nothing, is totally and completely powerless to stop a nomination from moving forward.

Impeach, again? The Senate is not obligated to stop its schedule every time the House sends over an impeachment. They are obligated to address it, but the constitution doesn't say when, or how. Mitch can ignore an impeachment indefinitely if he wants.

Pelosi doesn't have the power to shut down the government. She also does not have the capacity to shut her fucking mouth.

Can she shutdown the Senate?

Democrats shutting down the government can only help Trump, so I hope she does this.

no, she can't

Think that would give the President more power to seat some one

doesn't have anything to do with the senate

I can definitely believe they'll try constant civil unrest around DC to see if they can shut shit down.

No Nancy you drunk cunt, you don't control the Senate.

If there was something they could do they would have done it on the previous nominees. They haven’t been holding back for at least 5 years. There’s nothing more to escalate to.

I cannot tell you how badly that will backfire on them.

Is it an option? What bills are coming up for finance?

The supreme court should be staffed by party volunteers taken from all walks of life.

I'd settle for 9 people that truly have read and will adhere to the Constitution
