Don't go protestant. They've all, to one extent or another, completely shredded the "Traditional Catechism". That's what it means to be protestant: they protested against Catholicism and in their revolution, they destroyed the traditional holy order to one extent or another. Indeed, much of Protestantism is comprised of merely...bible-study sessions.
If you want a sane and very traditional church that hasn't changed its content, nor its outlook, since the First Ecumenical Council in 325AD, look at the Orthodox church. Greek, Serbian, Russian--whatever--they vary only by the language of the Liturgy (Mass). You can even find one whose entire Liturgy is in English.
The Orthodox have never:
experienced a Reformation/Counterreformation
had (or needed) a so-called 'renaissance' because they've never had a dark age of feudal oppression and misery
burned so-called 'heretics', 'witches' or 'scientific rationalists' at the stake because they never felt threatened by alternative thinking
had a problem with pedophilic priests because their priests can marry
experienced issues with greed, gluttony, power-madness or other unnatural fuckery because they were never participants of a vicious feudal hierarchy that turned society into a slave plantation for the elites' own benefit
disrespected its parishioners with the Eucharist at Holy Communion: the church never bifurcated the Host by giving a thin, papery "wafer" to the lowly masses while reserving the precious (and expensive) wine for the priests to drink on behalf of all. At Orthodox communion, everybody gets a big chunk of actual, homemade bread and actual wine from the hand of the priest, himself.
I know of a Ukrainian-Orthodox Church in my area of DC/NoVa. I always wondered why one of my most-based Catholic friends recommended attending service there every now and then.
I'll attend one and see if I can have a chat with their priest.
Yah, one of my university colleagues got to where he couldn't stand the thought of supporting a church that hides and shields its pedophiles from prosecution so he left. He, his wife, and their 7 kids joined the Russian Orthodox church and they're very snug and happy.
I'm Turkish and was raised in Sunni Islam, Hanafi School of Sharia law, but my fiancé was Greek Orthodox. We went to a Syrian Orthodox church in El Paso that was just wonderful because they performed the Liturgy in Arabic, so all the things I was used to, I could still have! I've been married for 35 years; and, my spouse and my conversion are still the two wisest decisions I've ever made.
The Episcopalian church celebrates the same liturgy as the Catholic Church, literally. Biggest difference is priests are allowed to marry, and that changes allot!
I'll look into it. I heard that they were an endangered church though because there wasn't enough worshippers, or is that everybody, or an I thinking about some other practice?
Can some protestant pedes give some advice on good followings which haven't deviated too far from traditional catechism?
I don't think I can sit within St. Peter's church any longer.
Baptists are different from Protestants in general?

Catholics make the best mormons.
I keep delaying hanging out with the LDS folks. Really solid guys except for that POS from Connecticut who moved down to Utah.
I'm not from Utah but we are all pretty much in agreement. Romney is a pariah. Utah only chose him because Trump endorsed him.
