Why are so many people on here pursuing for a female judge? There’s no rules saying we need x# of female judges on SC. Trump should pick the next judge based solely on qualifications, not what may or may not be hanging between their legs.

Barnes made a good point about Eid, whom is his favorite. It will be difficult to get her on the bench because she is so young. We have to get somebody that that can make it through a vote. Barrett is not good. Lagos is better than Barrett and ticks identity boxes that make it harder for people to vote against. Any of the three is an upgrade over RGB, but Barrett tends to affirm the state and corporations an awful lot.
Judicial selections are political, especially on this Court. It's going to be a highly contested appointment.

Appointing Whitey McWhitemale to the seat is going to cost Collins, Murkowski, and probably Romney, and then all it takes is one more to kill the nomination. Appointing another female will cost Murkowski and maybe Romney, leaving a margin of one more defector -- and there's some indication that Manchin might be forced to flip, giving even more margin, whereas with Whitey McWhitemale Manchin would have an easy out with "but we should really appoint another female to replace RVG."

Too late for that, he already said he's picking a woman. So now we need to determine the best woman.
It's just easy to get the vote. Everyone knows this narrative is wrong. Also women candidates tend to be younger, so it kind of works in practice.
You should also post facts/sources about Lagoa if you want to disparage her. Clarence Thomas was appointed by George H. Bush, he's great.
