I've never seen/read Handmaid's Tale, but based on what the Left says about it... am I the only one who thinks woman would be way happier and society would be better off if that WERE what the Right wanted?
I think it was Ann Coulter that said "Women should have the right to vote, they just shouldn't."
I think that goes for everyone. I think only people that have done their due diligence to make themselves genuinely informed on the issues should be voting. It just so happens, that when polled, women are horribly uninformed about politics and current events.
Anything that "The Right" wants is never going to happen. You can put the genie back in the bottle. Drop the traditionalist garbage (which by the way was just as toxic toward men as feminism) and enter the new society where the only option is to free men from their roles with scientific development like women have been.
I disagree entirely. Europe had a brief blip of secularism and Science(TM), and they are now becoming an Islamic state, by birth rates, immigration, and conversion.
Whether you believe that social norms are true because they work, or they work because they are True, they WORK, and secularism doesn't scratch the innate itch that humans have to worship God.
The question really is: do Christians have the stones to stand up for Christ and Christianity, and reality, like Islam seems to have.
