Yessir

Murkowski and Collins are a no. Mitt is a maybe. And, barring any surprises, it seems like the rest of the GOP will fall in line.

It's happening!!!

Especially since our pick will GREATLY help Mormons.

mitt might actually vote yes because of the abortion issue. his constituents tend to be very Mormon and anti abortion

Indeed. And they do a great job with their children too. Despite some beliefs I find odd, I've never met a Mormon I didn't like. I've never met Romney, though.

Agreed. Rand Paul has this assumption too.

Collins actually never said she wouldn't vote in favor, she just said that the President should wait until after the election and that she's wasn't in favor of the vote being held, but that it was still his right to nominate now.

She's critical but she never stated that she was noncommittal. I think Collins votes in favor, she's just virtue signalling that she doesn't approve. Collins did a similar virtue signal with Kavannah. She's pretended to be "torn" with the "evidence" presented against Kavannah, but she still ultimately voted in his favor. She's a phony bitch.

Being a massive fence-sitter like her must be exhausting as fuck.

ModernKnight 1 point ago +1 / -0

Especially with the fence getting thinner and thinner, and the left constantly moving the fenceposts.

I would wager if Mitt intended to go against his party on this to spite Trump that he would have already said something.

Going against Trump on impeachment was a much easier move to make politically for him than going against his party on the Supreme court.

Plus, I think Mitt is running in 2024 and will cater to the Never Trumpers(even though that's only 2% of the party now)

If I had to bet, I'd say Pence will not be needed as a tie breaker.

However, it's good to have that option just in case

Yes! The dems will try to delay it through the judicial committee (of which Kamala is a member!) or push through some finance bills just to delay taking this up.

Chesteraarthur2 [S] 10 points ago +10 / -0

Good thing they do not control the schedule at all

8
Former_RM2 8 points ago +8 / -0

Precisely. The Apex Predator is in charge of the Senate and the dems can't do anything about it until they are in charge.

3
BDE_MAGA_COUNTRY 3 points ago +3 / -0

Wait, Randy Orton is in charge of the Senate? What did I miss?

2
SirDonaldJTrump 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah thats good. What about any potential lawsuits that may be filed with the sole intention of delaying it? A freak on reddit posted a bunch of ways demonrats could delay this, it included impeachment too which is just bullshit.. but a lawsuit could take a while to get decided

3
Chesteraarthur2 [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

There is literally no way for them to delay this short of calling in bomb threats. And even then I am pretty sure Mitch can force them to stay lol.

Can Pence strut into the Senate like a fucking pimp with some WWE walkin music while waving and smiling at Kamala and Feinstein?

rebelde_sin_causa 18 points ago +18 / -0

He might not win re-election by doing this, but he sure as hell won't win it by cucking out

This is a good point. I hadn't considered the morale effect on the Dems of the seat already being filled. Good call, one more (REALLY good) reason to nominate and confirm before the election.

dindunufin2 12 points ago +12 / -0

if it is 50/50, then Pence decides.

Gardner fucking better vote to confirm. If not, he has zero chance of reelection. Hickenlooper is a crook.

I want to point out, Collins and Murky won't necessarily vote no. They may just refuse to vote.
