I live in Los Angeles. Demons are absolutely 100% real. I have seen them. I have felt them. I have encountered people tormented and even possessed by them. They are no joke.
Some neighborhoods around here even have a weird vibe. Like masses of twisted energy swirling around them. Who am I kidding...most of the neighborhoods around here are like that.
Satan controls many people. Though most don't know it. The most insidious and common types of demons are described as the 7 Deadly Sins...which were originally considered demons when they were cataloged by the Desert Fathers. These demons sit within people and influence their thoughts and actions, eventually spoiling their lives and their souls.
You also have to be on the watch out for lesser evil spirits that float around and attach to you if you're not on guard or if you're harboring bad thoughts. These aren't as bad as the greater demons but they can make your life very difficult. They may cause anger, confusion, resentment, fear, depression, etc.
Go to church, pray, repent your sins, and walk with God. Evil things cannot stand honesty and light.
Paradoxically though, they will sometimes work harder at trying to destroy very good and very pure people. They can't really touch that sort of person's soul, but they will try to make circumstances miserable for them in the hopes that they will eventually despair.
