Two notes:

• I'd prefer to not scratch the paint on my sports-car, would noisy hand-held device be legal? Seems like a gray area.
• This law should be more broadly written to also apply if you're fleeing a mob on foot. We've seen large mobs of individuals harrassing, assaulting, blinding, etc and individual while using the large crowd to obscure the individuals engaging in violence. IMO, they're all as guilty as a getaway driver. One should be able to use deadly-force on the mob, if that mob is itself a deadly force, regardless of the actions of any single individual.
