It's about the votes. There are plenty of quality Conservative choices who will also help sway voters because of the optics.

Trump knows what he's doing.

I'm sure he does, and he hasn't done anything yet. The only thing I see is a lot of people too preoccupied with trying to appease the leftists and win at their own game (optics).

We're not trying to appease leftists. We're trying to get a SCOTUS judge in their successfully. Like it or not, there are a lot of Republicans who are weak. The judge being a woman will provide more encouragement for their RHINO weakness.

It makes the Democrat's look like hypocrites. They will attack and smear a woman, but then turn around and say "how dare you talk about RBG she's a woman!"

Not to mention, most of the MEN members who are conservative are cucks like John Roberts. Amy Barrett has a better conservative record than most of the male members we have on their now, she might be the best for the job regardless of gender

Don't hate the player. Hate the game.

Trump does not enjoy the liberty of pretending the rules of that game are something different.

Priority #1 is re-election.

I'm not hating anyone. Lol

But let's not pretend that if he selects a female or even a minority female, that would make any difference on how he's portrayed on media or by Dems. They'll hate regardless.

It's not about them. It's about fence-sitting American moms in the PA suburbs. It's about fence-sitters in Florida who aren't sure if they think Trump is racist or sexist or not. Most people are not hard-line political ideologues. That middle segment is huge.

Look at the margins that Trump won by last time... SCOTUS pick, the unfortunate necessity of the optics, could absolutely make the difference.
