Just saw Republican Kimberly Klacik's campaign advert running for congress in Baltimore and it's REALLY effective. Everyone running should take note of it.
Makes me think, "Vote Red" should be associated with The Love Heart symbol and Roses - as well as the American Flag of course. The Heart is probably in the top 5 positive symbols of all time, and probably ranks first globally, even higher than the US flag and the Cross.
The Love Heart means "I love the USA" in this context, and "we are the party based on Love and Values". Which is what the Republicans desperately need.
The Rose could be given to people when encouraging them to vote. Even many Democrats would place it in water when they got home...
Also, the Republicans really need to woo the female youth vote...and swap the narrative about which party is the moral one, and romantic one.
I'd welcome that symbolism. Very positive messaging.
Can't use the rose, that's the symbol of the DSA. Outside of the US, it's also the symbol of the neo-communist Labour Party of the UK.
"And today, we announce our plan to kill all men."
Yeah, no. Let's not.
