Eh, unfortunately I must say that a good many of the female sailors tend to be a bit soft..Given that she likely sits around a cubicle all day alongside her other rejects this doesn't surprise me..These are the "vets" the news will say don't support our president..I bet she wouldn't say this bullshit around an EOD team that's for damn sure..
Softness is becoming an increasing problem in all branches of our military, females and males, unfortunately. One of my children served as a DS for a time, and one of the biggest issues with new recruits was that their joints and bones were not hard enough to take the stress of physical training (as it is now) -- the number of recruits suffering from micro-fractures was far too high along with inability to take temperature extremes. They also do not know how to pace themselves. With a soft body comes a soft mind -- they cannot take the discipline and stress. I would recommend that everyone get their kids out of the gym and make them do some form of manual labor where they also have to learn to be tidy and precise, where they learn that they have to square things away even if they are tired/cold/wet/hot/hungry/thirsty and would like to stop.
They will learn, to build a strong body you must break the weak one..
That's what my daughter saw; that and worse (the bone heads were literally shattering from the stress -- some catastrophic, literally gave out!). It's from not building bone and strengthening joints during youth. The only way to do this is not at the gym with 30 reps (it will help, but it really isn't making enough demands). Farm work; farm work builds bone/joints/muscle (and teaches you how to pace yourself, and handle weather) -- and getting the proper nutrition (let your kids drink whole milk -- if they're outside and active; they'll burn off the fat). One of my other kids got her bone density measured while in service; her bone density was as high as a man's, (this also made her weigh more than what she appeared to weigh) -- she'd been doing chores since she was 8; none of my kids have thus far suffered from any bone/connective tissue complaints while in the military. Get your kids out; have them do a full day's manual labor (within reason; don't kill them off); make sure they're getting the right nutrition to build bone and muscle. Or else we're going to have 20+ people lining up for sick call all the time. :/
