Still... where the fuck did it get ricin from?

And why is that something that's easily obtainable for fanatics like this?

Bldg_2019 68 points ago +68 / -0

All you really need is castor beans and to look up some instructions, apparently.

18
Raindrops1984 18 points ago +32 / -14

I’m just shocked that you can find instructions for that online without having your front door busted in.

Hudlum 60 points ago +61 / -1

You can find instructions online for anything, that's the beauty of the internet.

DaoDeDickinson 45 points ago +45 / -0

Yeah, we're still able to travel this site for now even though over 90% of DC bureaucrats hate us more than ricin.

14
stratocaster_patriot 14 points ago +15 / -1

And the downfall. Not all instructions are correct or well intended.

There is nothing illegal about knowledge. When you apply that knowledge and cook the ricin or obtain it from a lab with the intent to poison someone is when it becomes illegal.

I know how to construct a nuke and would love to share it with everyone. Good luck with enriching uranium.

mintscape 19 points ago +19 / -0

I had a bunch of enriched uranium in my garage but used it to build a time machine, the Iranians I got it from were pissed.

"Ignorance is strength"

"Dont learn how weapons work. Remain defenseless."

The OP saying that is beyond retarded.

Ricin is this generations home made pipe/pressure cooker bomb. You can try and ban all manuals of "The Anarchists Cookbook", but you're not gonna get them all and it just would make it more popular.

34
RusherOfDin 34 points ago +34 / -0

The Anarchist Cookbook was converted to ASCII text file in the 1980s and has been floating around the internet since it was Arpanet and BBS's.

There is no getting the genie back in the bottle. Anybody who says they can get the genie back in the bottle just wants to enact massive censorship on the scale of China's Great Firewall and they are using this out of date radical textbook as an excuse.

Nearly 20 years ago there was a PDF on a flash drive being passed around the high-school. The more something is targeted the more untraceable and ubiquitous it becomes.

IvIA6A 2 points ago +2 / -0

I blame breaking bad for putting it into the mainstream.

ACB isn't banned. You can download it free right now. You can go to the website and look up whatever you want. If you're gullible you can buy a hard copy ok amazon.

PeytonManThing 13 points ago +13 / -0

I mean, they did catch her. But maybe she was smart enough to hide her activity online

Welcome to the internet.

You can find anything on the internet. It's literally nearly the entire collective of knowledge of the human race.

Yet we use it to look at funny pictures mostly.

Yes, you can easily make it yourself in a kitchen if you can buy some castor beans over amazon.

10
remember1776 10 points ago +10 / -0

people who buy castor beans online end up on some kind of list ?

29
WarpedSage 29 points ago +29 / -0

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if everyone in every country is not on some surveillance list for some kind of wrong think infraction.

16
DonJr2032 16 points ago +16 / -0

You would be correct. Here's where it's stored: https://i.maga.host/UINmgEZ.png

Useful_Vidiots 1 point ago +1 / -0

That's the third time you've made that statement in the past year.

14
Isolated_Patriot 14 points ago +14 / -0

At this point the lists are full. If everyone in the world is on "the list" what good is it?

Pretty sure the only 'list' they are concerned with anymore is "People who voted for Trump and need dealt with once we regain power."

7
Spooky_Lunch 7 points ago +7 / -0

Does it really matter? People on FBI lists have successfully pulled off acts of terror without anyone doing shit to prevent it. So I wouldn't be too worried about that.

1
edxzxz 1 point ago +1 / -0

Right? The Tsaernev Boston Marathon bombers were on a list, so was the Las Vegas shooter, and etc. etc. etc. - every time there's another attack, we find out the perp was on an FBI list. Maybe they should start arresting these shits BEFORE they do something that kills people?

BeefyBelisarius 3 points ago +3 / -0

Most people who buy castor beans online just plant them as an ornamental in their yard, it's a fast growing annual with nice foliage. Oil pressed from the beans also has medical use for digestive issues, but I wouldn't want to try DIYing that.

Buy some troy beans and mix with the castor beans and apparently it makes an acid solution that will take your face/off.

4
WarpedSage 4 points ago +4 / -0

Really? Interesting, never heard of that one. I will go look it up.

3
edxzxz 3 points ago +3 / -0

Why wouldn't you just use actual acid?

3
KremlinBot 3 points ago +3 / -0

Late 90s movie reference?

2
BeefyBelisarius 2 points ago +2 / -0

What happens if you use pollux beans?

8
cob05 8 points ago +11 / -3

This is the real question. Just exactly where did this freak get a biological weapon???

There is 0% chance that this druggie loser worked alone in this assassination attempt. Who was helping her? Who was financing her? What organizations is she a part of?? Do any of the answers rhyme with zanpifa or zoros?

8
Izzil 8 points ago +10 / -2

Exactly. Production of ricin takes a sophisticated lab, unless Breaking Bad has lied to us.
