It’s a misconception that stimulant addicts are always skinny. The famous example is David Crosby, but I know a woman who was a meth head that is a ham planet, was before the meth and after. Now that she either does it infrequently or has quit (I don’t believe she has quit) she’s ballooning up even more.

It depends on how you define "addict" because if it's weekend use then they can still weigh more.

Either way, I think writing everything off as "meth" misleads people in so many ways. People capable of doing things like this due purely to mental illness. Also, I am very sure that the overwhelming majority of meth users are less damaging to society than alcoholics or heroin users. There are even benefits to methamphetamine when it is properly used. There is a reason it is legal with prescription. It has medical value.
