It’s funny, I loved pot too.. for a while when I was first getting high - getting the giggles or the munchies and listening to The Wall for the first time and “getting it”, then it just became routine. It was just what I did. Come home from work, sit down and smoke pot watching TV, and that was it. On the weekends, coffee and weed in the morning quite often and planning my day around going places where I could sneak off and smoke.
I didn’t have any friends that didn’t smoke, I HATED going anywhere I couldn’t smoke at and if I didn’t have it, that day was painfully boring to me. I wouldn’t have recognized any of this while I was doing it though. If you’d asked me then I would have said “nah I’m just an occasional smoker.” And that’s truly how I viewed myself. Took years away from it to see just how much it ran my life.
I can 100% relate. I also once "got" Stairway to Heaven. Albums of choice were DSOTM, Magical Mystery Tour, and some Cash.
It's just youth, man. Now I'm approaching 35 and I have friends still doing that shit. Kinda feel like a hypocrite if I were to tell em my opinion on it now. Nowadays I'm pretty on board with harsh drug laws. That shit isn't a net positive for the country.
Although I'm a big hiker and weed/hiking is like peanut butter/jelly. I can do without though. Nothing wrong with being along in nature with God and a clear mind.
Same. I once got smoked up on dabballz and went to a dept store, I bought Dark Side of the Moon. And I haven't even smoked enough since then to listen to the damned record. Don't waste your life with an agent that does absolutely zero harm to your life. Not even once, I mean, c'mon, man...my mental cognition is fijne. Are you on drugs?!
