So today taking a knee = kneeling during the anthem. Back then taking an knee = literally disabling the knee of your competition/classic liberal tactics of cheating and violence.
Tanya Harding's boyfriend was the one that hit Kerrigan. Not her.
She did, however, come up with the idea and convince him to do it.
Sad part is, Harding was a very good skater.
She had a good chance to beat out Kerrigan.
