By their logic, if that is a correct thing to do, why wouldn't Republicans just pack the court now? What's to stop them if that's a legal and moral option for everyone? It's just the latest "if you don't do what we want, we will punish you" threat.

Also if they don't, and dems make it 12 judges, what's to stop Republicans from coming back to make it 15... or 24... or fuck it... put 50 conservative judges on the court lol

It seems that there is a limit to appeals to emotion. They can only say "this is it! This crosses the line and nothing is suddenly of the table because of this xyz! You're going to be sorry! " I feel it starting to wear thin, even with the brownshirt kids.

IF the dems win the senate in 2021 and they pull this stunt, then every two years once the other party gets the majority, then they will just pack the court the other way. It will be a complete shit-show. Dems make it 13 in 2021, R's make it 17 in 2023 so on and so forth until every SCOTUS decision is along party lines and no one has any faith in SCOTUS anymore.

HEADLINE 2043: SCOTUS reverses all of last years rulings in controversial 72-71 decision!

That is their plan. They are openly trying to erode faith in our election process with this mail in ballots (cheat by mail) and now they are telling us they want to erode faith in the judicial system. They want to dismantle this great country.

This is especially odd given that Trump is about to fill the vacant seat. So they're essentially threatening to stack the court when there's a conservative majority, so it's implied that it would be done by bypassing the courts.

This would basically lead to a precedent where every new President stacks the court with his cronies, making them de facto in charge of the Judicial branch.

Yes. Trump is effectively doing so. Given another term, he'll have 7-2 in non-cucked cases and 6-3 or 5-4 in cucking cases.
