Getting rid of the electoral college is on the ballot this election for Colorado. Proposition 113: adopt agreement to elect US president by national popular vote. If this passes, Colorado will be the fifteenth state, plus the District of Columbia to join the agreement, bringing the number of committed electoral votes to 196, short of the 270 needed

Well unfortunately I know a lot of people who will vote for this because 1. They hate Donald Trump and are still angry over his win “despite Hillary’s popular vote” (I don’t believe she won legitimately) and 2. They don’t teach the importance of the constitution in schools they way they should and 3. People are stupid.
