They'll continue as long as we put up with them.

It starts with REFUSING THE MASK and going straight up the ass of any male or female Coronatarian that wants to make an issue out of it with you. I've been rolling this way every day since the initial "two weeks to flatten the curve" ended. Yes, it's tiresome. Yes, there's drama. A few times I've feared being physically assaulted and felt the adrenaline surge through my body as I prepared to pull out my pepper spray or concealed daily driver out of fear for my life. But I'm doing it for YOU (plural), knowing that most folks are just looking for someone to lead them out of the jaws of fear. Not all of us are leaders - and that's okay. Feels bad when so many surround me who are seemingly willfull or indifferent towards this peculiar authoritarian fetishism being thrust upon us. Our forefathers shed rivers of their own blood for us to live as a free people. The LEAST we can do to honor their sacrifice is to stomach our fear and REFUSE THE MASK. Sorry / not sorry - just had to get that off my chest, and whole-heartedly agree with your comment with some anecdotal context from my personal experience here in the great state of Missouri. 🇺🇸

I feel you brother. I've been going maskless for the last couple months inside stores or anywhere I have to go that's public. And I'm in Los Angeles county right now where there are tens of millions masked it feels. I got one of those little "I AM EXEMPT MEDICALLY" cards with all the CA legal jumbo on it. I wear it on a lanyard and show it to the managers that ask me about it. The vast majority of em go "thanks have a nice day, carry on"

Thank you for your thoughtful reply & thank you also for going maskless. In my county, there's a medical exemption clause right in the county executive's order - explicitly stating that if an individual comes into your business claiming medical exemption, the business is not allow to ask them about it - releasing and discharging the business from any punitive recourse should they get busted for allowing maskless customers inside if they are not able to provide "reasonable accommodations," i.e., curbside pickup or similar. So I've been claiming medical exemption everywhere I go and have a printed copy of the order with me every time I enter a business. I feel no violation in my conscience about using the exemption, despite not having a medical condition. But if you give me an exit door out of a tyrannical authoritarian order, I'm going to take advantage of it - because COMPLIANCE with said order violates my conscience. The idea of a medical card sounds pretty slick, though - any suggestions where I might start poking around in my own state to see if such documentation exists?

I have seen some other places selling the cards as well as buttons and t shirts even. The card looks the most official. That's why I wear it on a lanyard like an ID card around my neck. I bought a little cheap one rather than printing and laminating myself. Which is easily done. Conners clinic.com has one you can buy for any of the 50 US states you're in and it has a copy of the mask mandates medical exclusion. Which they all have. And it also states you do not even have to disclose your condition under federal HIPPA law. No problem and you're welcome. I'm like you and I don't feel bad lying either. I have had some asthma attacks when I was a kid. I remember what they feel like. Having my breathing obstructed gives me memories of it. I used to go the method of "this is america I am free to breathe" I even said "I can't breathe" a few times like I was Fentanyl Floyd. But it honestly gets tiresome having the same arguement everytime I walk into a grocery store. So I use the card now and it works like magic. Just be polite. I've even made some mask enforcers feel like shit once I get the manager to come over and they let me in or tell their employee to let me alone. I'll say "next time maybe be a little more understanding of those with special needs and disabilities" or something like that.
